What happened to Cafe Max?

Chef-Owner Douglas Day and his wife and partner Vonnie closed Cafe Max in September, 2006 after ten years as the Flathead Valley’s favorite fine dining restaurant. The Days opened their new venture Capers in October, 2006 at the same location along Kalispell’s quaint Main Street. Capers offers the same provocatively delicious food with a few more dashes of fun and informality. Cafe Max fans have been delighted and Capers has been an instant success.

Cafe Max Soup Co. opened in February, 2008. Chef Doug Day serves up a dozen delicious soups, sandwiches and salads in an informal setting located at the Blue Cow, 20 Commons Way. Call Cafe Max Soup Co. at 257-SOUP.
